Daily Calorie Needs (TDEE)
Calculate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure: the calories you burn in a day. The calculator first estimates your basal metabolic rate (BMR) with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, then multiplies it by your activity level.

How It Is Calculated
BMR = 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) − 5 × age, then +5 for men or −161 for women. TDEE = BMR × activity factor: 1.2 sedentary, 1.375 light, 1.55 moderate, 1.725 active, 1.9 very active. The weight-loss figure is TDEE minus 500 kcal and the weight-gain figure is TDEE plus 300 kcal. Treat the result as an estimate and adjust based on how your weight actually changes over a few weeks.
